Our story
The heart of Dunnington

Est. 1823
Where tradition meets community spirit
Dating back to the early 19th century, this charming conservation-area pub has long been the vibrant heartbeat of Dunnington, a picturesque, close-knit village in the green belt just five miles east of historic York.
Today we marry traditional Yorkshire warmth with a refreshed, welcoming feel. Inside it's classic and cosy, full of friendly local chatter; outside, an expansive beer garden made for long summer afternoons.
Whether it's a casual weekday pint, a weekend celebration or a comforting family meal, you'll find a genuinely warm, no-nonsense Yorkshire welcome waiting.
